Středník

Středník je něco mezi čárkou a tečkou. V angličtině se používá v souvětí, jehož věty spolu významově souvisejí, nejsou však spojeny pomocí spojky (viz první příklad). Dále nachází své uplatnění v delších výčtech v rámci souvětí, které již obsahuje čárky (viz druhý příklad).
